Keys to Successful Freelance Editing

The Christian PEN’s 10th Anniversary Convention

April 23-25, 2014

Location: Richfield Community Church in Yorba Linda, California

This event was designed for editors who want to grow their business or for those who want to learn how to become a freelance editor.

We enjoyed a fun fellowship dinner Wednesday evening, April 23, to get acquainted before the convention began. It was fun hearing where everyone was from and what they were working on.

Our main event was a full-day program on Thursday, April 24 followed by a half-day program Friday, April 25. We were inspired and educated by a series of talks by PEN members who are established freelance editors:

Kathy Ide crop Kathy Ide, Founder and Director – “Proofreading”
Cecil Murphey crop Cecil Murphey – “Ghostwriting”

“Subjective Time Management”
Kathy Bruins Kathy Bruins – Drama: “Trials of an Editor”Included with purchase of full package!
Karen Lee-Thorpe Karen Lee-Thorp – “Editorial Problem Solving”
