Statement of Faith

We Believe

The God of the Bible is the only God. He created the universe and everything in it. He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and one God.

(Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 4:35; Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is God in the flesh. Born of a virgin, he lived a sinless life on earth, performed miracles, and sacrificed himself as payment for the sins of all people. He died on a cross and rose on the third day. He sits at God’s right hand and will return for his people.

(Matthew 1:22–23; Romans 1:4; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 4:14–15)

The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides all Christians with power for living, understanding spiritual truths, and guidance in living according to God’s will.

(John 16:7–13; Acts 1:8)

Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned. Everyone has sinned and is separated from God. Only by believing in Jesus Christ and accepting him as one’s personal Savior can one be saved from sin and death. The moment one receives Jesus Christ by faith, that individual receives eternal life. Through Jesus, every person has direct and immediate access to God.

(John 14:6; Romans 3:236:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; 3:12)

The Bible is God’s Word to all people and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Every word is inspired by God.

(2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)
