How well do you know the organization behind PEN Tips, our blog about freelance Christian editing?
Christian Editor Network, also known as CEN, is the parent organization of The Christian PEN (PEN), Christian Editor Connection (CEC), The PEN Institute (TPI), and PENCON. CEN’s motto is “equipping and empowering Christian editors,” and all of its divisions are committed to equipping, empowering, and encouraging freelance editors and proofreaders in the Christian market.
Kathy Ide, CEN Owner and Manager, founded each of the above divisions and created CEN in 2016 to unify them under one umbrella. Christi McGuire and Jennifer Acevedo were partners with Kathy from fall of 2016 to May 2019. Kathy currently has a team of directors for each division as well as assistants and coordinators to support and serve Christian editors. Sharon Ford, CEN Assistant Manager, works with Kathy to oversee CEN operations.
CEN actively supports over 180 members in The Christian PEN, 60 editors in Christian Editor Connection, dozens of professional editorial and freelance business management courses in The PEN Institute, and virtual conferences and live retreats along with dozens of recordings of past sessions in PENCON.
